The 35th annual FLWR luncheon is scheduled for Friday, April 20, 2012, at Manzo’s Banquets, 1571 South Elmhurst Road (Route 83), Des Plaines. (847.593.2233) (Manzo’s is just north of the Northwest Tollway (I 90) between Oakton St. and Algonquin Rd.) The building is handicapped accessible and there is ample parking.
Arrive any time after 11:00 A.M. to view various displays. Lunch will be served at 12:00 noon.

Program presenters:
Monique Nunes is LWR’s senior outreach advisor and wife of the Rev. John A. Nunes, LWR’s president/CEO. With her husband, Monique co-authored the children’s book Little Things Make Big Differences: a story about malaria. Autographed copies will be available for purchase.
Trevor Knoblich is LWR’s program coordinator for emergency response. He will talk about his work with the Africa, Latin America and Asia regional staff and partners to organize relief and recovery efforts.
